We built Withinward because we believe personal insight belongs to the person — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone else. This policy says exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do.
Withinward is a spiritual intelligence platform operated by Withinward LLC (DBA), based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
Information you provide directly:
Information generated automatically:
What we do not collect: We do not collect your email address unless you explicitly provide it for account creation or email delivery. We do not collect payment information directly — this is handled by Stripe, our payment processor.
Currently, all your personal data — your birth information, assessment results, and readings — is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. It does not leave your device except when readings are generated.
When you request a daily reading or Your Signature, your profile data is sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) to generate your personalized reading. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic does not use your inputs to train their models under their API usage terms.
As Withinward grows, we will introduce account-based storage (Supabase). When this happens, we will notify you clearly and ask for your explicit consent before migrating any locally stored data.
We use your information for one purpose: to generate your personal Withinward experience. Specifically:
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy (Anthropic for reading generation, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery).
Your daily readings and Your Signature are generated using Anthropic's Claude AI. Your birth data and assessment results are sent to Anthropic's API to produce personalized content. Withinward does not use AI to make decisions about you — the readings are reflective tools for personal exploration, not assessments, diagnoses, or recommendations.
Readings are designed as daily mirrors for self-reflection. They are not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Please see our full disclaimer in our Terms of Service.
Withinward does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism, not a cookie) to save your profile and reading data locally.
If we add analytics in the future, it will be privacy-first (no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifier collection). We will update this policy when that changes.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Because your data currently lives on your device:
Minnesota residents have additional rights under the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MNDPA). California residents have rights under CCPA. EU/EEA residents have rights under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Withinward is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We will update this policy as Withinward grows. Material changes will be communicated clearly — either on this page with an updated effective date, or by direct notification if you have an account. Continued use of Withinward after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
